Rev. Michael Benson was called to preach while attending Bethany Nazarene College, now Southern Nazarene University. He is a graduate of Southern Nazarene University and of Nazarene Theological Seminary. Asbury Theological Seminary conferred the Doctor of Ministry of Spiritual Formation degree in May 2001. He has more than 20 years of local church ministry experience, having served in a variety of positions — staff ministry, senior pastorate, evangelism. Two districts elected him as their district NYI president. He has conducted 400+ revivals, retreats and camp meetings. Benson has one published work, Disciplines For the Inner Life which was co-authored with his father, the late Bob Benson, former President of the Benson Company. The intention of this book is to provide insight and guidance for the formation and nourishment of the inner life. Beginning in August 2002, Benson served as Chaplain to the University at Olivet Nazarene University. After eight years as Chaplain, Benson served as the Director of Church and University Relations for Indiana. He continues to teach part time in the University’s School of Theology and Christian Ministry. In 2012 Benson returned to itinerant ministry and preaches more than 100 times annually around the country at churches, conferences, and retreats. Much of his time is devoted to an evangelistic effort among the biker culture and at motorcycle rallies. He serves as the National Evangelist for the Priesthood Motorcycle Ministry which has chapters in many of these United States. He is the co-founder of Salvage Yard Biker Church in Bourbonnais, Illinois, a growing congregation of redeemed, rebellious types who seek to live out the mission: "Love God. Love People. Do Stuff" He and his wife, the former Gwen Balliett of Colorado Springs make their home in Bourbonnais, Illinois. They have three grown married children and three grandchildren.
Lane Loman is a native of Greensboro, NC. He has been lead pastor of churches in North Carolina, Tennessee, Georgia, and Indiana. Lane has served in The Evangelical Methodist Church, The Church of the Nazarene, The Friends Church and The Free Methodist Church. Lane is also associated with the Southeastern Evangelistic Group. He is an ordained elder and commissioned evangelist with The Church of the Nazarene. Of his 51 years in the ministry, he has traveled 28 years in itinerant revival ministry speaking and singing in 15 denominations and 50 different denominational and independent camp meetings.
Lane also produces The Lights of Spiritual Guidance, a radio ministry started in 1937 by his father, the late Dr. J. Harold Loman. The program is heard over a network of 14 stations in North Carolina, Virginia, Ohio, Illinois, Indiana and Kentucky.
Lane is a graduate of Atlanta Christian College with a degree in Christian Education. He also studied Evangelism in the Local Church at Scarritt Graduate Center, Nashville, TN, and holds a Master of Arts in Religion and Spiritual Formation degree from Northwest Nazarene University. Lane has recorded 15 song albums and authored two books; "The Fruit Still Falls From The Tree" and “The Fruit Is Still Falling.”
Lane’s wife, Gretchen, is a native of Bedford, Indiana. When travel logistics permit, she travels and sings with Lane in revival ministry. Gretchen also serves as the secretary for Loman Ministries and assists in the production of ministry product.
Lane and Gretchen have three sons and six grandchildren.
